ZeroMark
About Us
Zeromark builds AI-driven counter-drone systems that actually work in combat. No PowerPoints. No hype. Just field-proven technology that saves lives.
We've doubled year-over-year for two straight years, winning contracts that prove what we've always known: real innovation happens in the dirt, not in conference rooms. Our systems transform standard weapons into AI-powered platforms that detect, track, and neutralize drone threats-because a $200 drone shouldn't require a million-dollar countermeasure.
Here's what makes us different: ZeroMark operators don't build from behind screens. You'll validate tech from Blackhawk helicopters, train alongside Tier-1 units (who happen to be our coworkers), and test at legendary ranges from White Sands to the cliffs of Hawaii. When we say field-tested, we mean you'll shoot it, fly with it, and push it to failure. We don't tweet about changing the world-we're too busy actually doing it. Dark humor required, thick skin recommended.
If you want to make an actual impact-and have some unforgettable Tuesday afternoons along the way-let's talk. We're all about delivering practical, field-tested tech, not just theories.
The Role
The Assembly Technician & Light Machinist will be responsible for the precise assembly of electro-mechanical components and the operation of light machining equipment to produce parts for our advanced counter-drone systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical assembly principles, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities Assembly: Perform precise assembly of complex electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for assembly tasks. Conduct quality checks and inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of assembly progress, materials used, and quality control data.
Machining: Operate light machining equipment (e.g., lathes, milling machines, drills) to produce and modify components from various materials. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations. Set up and adjust machining parameters, including feeds, speeds, and tool selection. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tooling. Inspect machined parts for accuracy, dimensions, and surface finish using precision measuring instruments.
General: Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product design. Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices in the workshop. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machining Technology) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in a defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing environment. Proven experience operating light machining equipment.
Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Familiarity with various assembly techniques and tools. Competence in operating basic machine shop equipment. Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Good vision and hand-eye coordination.
Desired Attributes
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, startup environment. Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and processes. Commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements. Benefits
Competitive salary Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional development and growth Dynamic and collaborative work environment The chance to contribute to impactful defense technology
