Your New Role The role will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across global content operations. This position leads the development of scalable BI solutions, data pipelines, and visualizations that support content readiness, localization, and delivery performance across DTC, linear, and theatrical models. Serving as a subject matter expert in media data systems, the Content Operations Analytics Manager ensures data quality, builds unified reporting layers, and delivers standardized dashboards to support both strategic and operational goals. This role partners closely with content operations, technology teams, and leadership to improve workflow efficiency, increase data availability, and elevate analytics maturity across the organization.. Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Product Application Management & Ownership • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics platforms that support content operations workflows across streaming, linear, FAST, and theatrical distribution. • Manage BI tool enhancements, integrations, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality and alignment with business objectives. • Act as the main liaison with external BI vendors and platform providers, ensuring tools support the complex needs of global content operations and analytics.
Analytics Development, Data Extraction & Visualization • Oversee the extraction and transformation of data from various media systems (e.g., MAM/DAM, CMS, scheduling tools, vendor portals) into centralized reporting environments. • Architect and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to automate data ingestion and integration into cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. • Harmonize and standardize data across multiple systems (metadata, asset tracking, localization, delivery status, vendor SLAs) to ensure consistent reporting and unified insights. • Design and maintain backend data models, semantic layers, and star schemas to support rapid querying, self-service analytics, and dashboard development. • Build advanced dashboards and visualizations in tools like DOMO, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and MicroStrategy, tailored to content delivery, readiness, and operational KPIs. • Define and standardize report templates across departments to ensure consistency in format, structure, KPIs, and branding. • Automate generation of recurring reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for internal stakeholders including content ops, distribution, programming, and leadership teams.
Data Governance, Standardization & Quality Oversight • Champion data governance by defining and enforcing business rules, metadata standards, naming conventions, and consistent KPI definitions across global operations. • Implement data validation, anomaly detection, and quality monitoring routines to ensure high trust in analytics reporting and dashboard metrics. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data lineage, metric definitions, and dashboard logic to foster transparency and self-service adoption.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement • Collaborate closely with content operations, post-production, licensing, programming, and technology teams to align reporting needs with business goals. • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions to translate stakeholder needs into technical reporting solutions, templates, and dashboard views. • Develop and deliver clear, data-driven presentations, reports, and visual summaries to communicate progress, risks, and insights to executive stakeholders. • Build and maintain a centralized portfolio of reporting priorities, coordinating closely with regional teams and content ops leaders.
Delivery Management • Oversee the implementation of Analytics reports and dashboards from ideation through launch, including planning, stakeholder alignment, and post-deployment support. • Incorporate the transition of new reports into the business-as-usual processes, including training, documentation, and adoption. • Clearly communicate project goals, KPIs, and impact to relevant teams to ensure engagement, and accountability. • Ensure uniform application of data and reporting standards across new product and platform initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.
People Leadership & Team Development • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts focused on content operations reporting, dashboard development, and media analytics. • Provide professional development, technical training, and clear career progression paths to support growth and skill enhancement. • Foster a culture of innovation, data literacy, and continuous improvement within Analytics and across partner teams.
Must Have Skills / Requirements 1) 5+ years of experience in data analytics, including 2+ years in a people management or lead role. 2) Proven experience with BI and data visualization tools, including at least two of the following: DOMO, Tableau, Microstrategy, Looker, Power BI. 3) Advanced SQL expertise with strong experience in Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms. 4) Familiarity with content/media workflows, digital product ecosystems, or large-scale data environments. 5) Knowledge of API-based data integration and cloud-based architecture (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). 6) Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality best practices. 7) Experience designing and developing data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows. 8) Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering analytics projects on time and at scale
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements Soft Skills • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data topics for non-technical stakeholders. • Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees • Ability to handle a high volume of complex projects and tasks for multiple people and departments while maintaining composure and managing competing priorities.
Education / Certifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree advantageous.
