Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I (IT Mgr I) over Planning and Product Management (PPM), the Information Technology Specialist I (IT Spec I) performs a variety of complex analytical tasks and activities for all enterprise-wide information technology (IT) projects by bringing stakeholders together to assess overall functional, technical and operational scope, perform cost-benefit analysis, and the resource capacity to determine how and when the California Department of Technology (CDT), through innovative services, can be provided. The IT Spec I will help guide enterprise projects through the process of business analysis, project initiation and testing. The IT Spec I will be responsible for assisting in the facilitation and management of all enterprise IT governance processes. The IT Spec I should have a product mindset, testing and able to play multiple roles. The IT Spec I is responsible for product planning and management for digital initiatives, coordinating the delivery of new product features and functionalities, optimizing product strategy and roadmaps, collaboration with business, and utilizing agile methodologies to deliver the product.
Telework This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule within California based on departmental policy and operational needs. The telework policy is subject to change depending on business needs, and/or reporting to the work site may be required with minimal notification given.
