Job Title: Assembly Operator I
Location: Pleasanton, CA 94588
Duration: 6 Months, Extendable Contract
Shift Hours: Shift Hours: 5 AM - 1.30 PM, Monday - Friday
Job Description: Responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, perform assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies. Follow standardized procedures with work closely reviewed. Ensure job documentation is accurate and up to date. Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all manufacturing management levels in written and oral form. Maintain a positive attitude with internal and external customers. Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices. Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance processes and meet quality and profitability metrics. Keep accurate records to ensure traceability and address quality issues. Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing. Work with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor goals and cell performance metrics to improve operations. Support divisional initiatives, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements. Requirements:
Read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; follow verbal instructions. Use electronic data collection systems and computer software. Prioritize work based on sequencing and importance. Handle and maneuver small components. Make critical decisions with minimal supervision. High school diploma or equivalent. Dress Code:
Clothing must be non-shedding, clean, and free of frayed hems or loose threads. No tassels, fringes, glitter, sequins, or dislodging items. No sweaters, sweater vests, loose fiber garments, loose knit, or fleece. Clothing from the waist up must fit under the lab coat/gown. No high-necked tops or sleeves beyond gown cuffs. Head coverings for customs must be clean, tightly woven, and fully covered by gown and bouffant. No loose clothing near machinery. Shoes required at all times; no open toe, open heel, sandals, clogs, slippers, or shoes with visible toes. Heel must be ≤ 2 inches. No changing shoes outside gowning rooms. Torsos, upper arms, and legs must be covered; pants or skirts must reach the ankle, with full stockings/leggings underneath ankle-length skirts. No nail polish, artificial nails, or similar coatings. No jewelry or piercings that could pierce gloves or remain uncovered. No makeup; lip balm stick allowed before hand washing. No scented products except deodorant; no lotions after hand washing. Cover open wounds with a bandage. Avoid offensive attire.
