Job Title: Medical Device Assembler Location: Sylmar, CA | Pay $21.50/hr Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual to join our manufacturing team in producing high-quality medical devices. This non-exempt position operates within a cleanroom environment under close supervision and is responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing products such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and related assemblies. Key Responsibilities: ssemble, test, and repair medical devices in accordance with standardized procedures. Follow all safety protocols and utilize proper safety equipment during operations. ccurately maintain production documentation, traveler records, and quality control data to ensure full traceability and regulatory compliance. Communicate effectively with team members and management-both verbally and in writing-regarding ideas, issues, and process improvements. Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance quality and production efficiency. Collaborate with supervisors to set and achieve individual and team performance goals. Support all Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and related regulatory standards. Follow established priorities and sequencing of tasks to meet production schedules. Handle and manipulate small components with precision. Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. bility to comprehend and follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions. Proficient in using electronic data collection systems and basic computer applications. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Environment & Dress Code: This role takes place in a controlled production environment with strict dress and hygiene requirements: Clothing must be non-shedding and free from frayed hems, loose threads, glitter, sequins, tassels, or similar embellishments. Loose-knit fabrics, fleece, and sweaters are not permitted. ll clothing from the waist up must fit under a lab coat or gown without protruding at the collar or cuffs. Shoes must be closed-toe, closed-heel, and flat (heel not exceeding 2 inches). No sandals, clogs, slippers, or shoes with visible openings. Socks or stockings must be worn at all times. Jewelry, body piercings, nail polish, artificial nails, and makeup are not permitted. Head coverings for religious or cultural reasons must be tightly woven, clean, fully covered by a bouffant, and tucked under the gown. Lip balm in stick form is allowed if applied outside production areas and before handwashing. Fragrances, scented lotions, and other scented products are not allowed, except for deodorant. Note: Changing clothes or shoes within the production area (outside of designated gowning rooms) is not permitted. All employees must adhere to cleanliness and dress code guidelines to maintain product integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
