Position Title: EPMO Project Manager

Job Description Summary: The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize business and IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes identifying resources and coordinating the efforts of cross-functional team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will be responsible for simultaneously overseeing, managing, and communicating the status of multiple cross-functional projects to consistently deliver high quality results for the entire organization.
Job Description:
Job Duties: Works with Director of Enterprise Project Management and EPMO Senior Project Manager to establish and maintain project management processes consistent with the needs of the organization. Provide project management leadership for initiatives as assigned, including the development of project plans and coordination of project team activities, such as managing and facilitating project meetings and work sessions. Manage projects that are a part of multiple interrelated/interdependent projects, coordinating with the EPMO Senior Project Manager to ensure decisions made on individual projects take interrelated projects into consideration. Work closely with business analysts to ensure that data and information management requirements are defined to enable business components to effectively work together. Consult with business users and works with business analysts to identify business needs, application requirements, and business processes that require reengineering or design. Translate project requirements into detailed project plans. Communicates project expectations and statuses to team members and stakeholders. Create reports and presentations for management and executives to provide updates, gain buy-in, achieve acceptance, and obtain key decisions. Work with business analysts to provide analysis to support the planning phase of the project so that project costs and ROI are clearly understood and so that appropriate prioritization can be assigned. Create project budgets and consults with the business unit and business analysts to prepare cost/benefit models. Prepare project planning documents, schedules and plans, procurement plans, project charters, and project scope statements. Facilitate post-project 'Lessons Learned' and creates recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks, manages issues and devises mitigation and contingency plans. Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Work Environment
This hybrid position requires onsite presence at least once per month (scheduled) and additional onsite visits as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree or significant related experience. Experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis.
Work experience:
Project management experience, including a combination of the following.
Experience with project management principles and methodologies including successful implementation of projects in a complex organization. Experience planning and managing strategically in the context of a large organization's information, communications, business process and technical environments. Experience with custom development, cloud technologies, and both traditional and agile methodologies. Experience with quality assurance, security, testing, and development environments. Preferred Qualifications
Certification/Licensure:
Kansas Information Technology Office Project Management Methodology certification. Certification in project management, such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP). Work Experience:
Project management experience in higher education, information technology, healthcare, research technology, or construction. Experience working with senior medical center administrators, faculty and staff. Skills:

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 Minimum $75,000.00 Midpoint $95,000.00 Maximum $115,000.00
