GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The A/P Manager will be a key contributor to our Accounting department by processing vendor invoices for timely payment and performing other departmental duties as necessary.

REPORTS TO:

Accounting Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include but are not limited to: Ensure all invoices and employee reimbursement requests received are coded, approved, and entered into the general ledger system in a timely and accurate manner. Resolve invoice and account discrepancies through investigation and documentation in order to ensure timely and accurate payments are made in accordance with internal controls. Post AP batches in Great Plains and prepare and process weekly check runs Monitor/Manage vendor setups with correct W-9 info and other information in the system. Respond to queries regarding expense reports and invoices timely Manage Vendor relations Maintain proper Accounts payable invoice support and provide to the auditors when requested Manage and complete IRS 1099 process ensuring all relevant information is filed for reporting purposes Supervise 2-3 AP clerks Provide other departmental support as needed and complete special projects as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or GED required; Associate/Bachelors degree in Accounting strongly preferred; 3-4+ years experience as Accounts Payable Supervisor/AP Manager required, Great Plains software experience strongly preferred; Knowledge of MS Excel and Word required

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Requires travel within the state of Georgia.
