This is NOT a remote or general IT role on-site presence is required. Make an Impact Where It Counts Are you a cyber security expert looking to secure critical systems, drive compliance, and lead information assurance efforts? We're hiring a Cyber Security Specialist who thrives on protecting enterprise systems and safeguarding sensitive data. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term potential and excellent benefits after conversion. Compensation $50+ per hour, based on experience Potential for permanent hire based on performance No overtime required while on assignment Why This Role Stands Out You wont just be a cog in the machine. Key Responsibilities Analyze system architectures and conduct risk assessments; deploy proactive protection for enterprise-level products and systems Design and execute fast, intelligent security responses to threats and vendor alerts Own product/system compliance with DoD IA, STIGs, and ISO 27001 Write and implement security procedures; train users in collaboration with customer cyber security teams Serve as the lead resource for all cyber security and information assurance inquiries from customers What You Bring Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field Experience: 5+ years in cyber security and information assurance Familiarity with Department of Defense IA standards and STIGs Certifications:
One or more preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH Technical Skills: Firewalls, IDS, SIEM Nessus, Symantec, and other scanning tools Windows security policies, Group Policy, and Active Directory management Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical ability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced Competencies Access Control:
Active Directory, SSO, MFA Enterprise Networking:
Layer 2/3 switches, Wi-Fi routersconfig, performance, and security considerations Network Security:
Firewall configuration, infrastructure setup, import/export controls Vulnerability Management:
Scheduling, tool deployment (e.g., Nessus), performance optimization Compliance & Collaboration:
Incident handling, cyber training, cross-functional teamwork Malware Protection:
Enterprise-grade tools like Symantec Data Protection:
VPNs, encryption (at rest and in transit) Monitoring & Logging:
Log server tools, custom configurations Application Security:
