Data Center Technician, Mid (IT Specialist)
Location: Washington, D.C. Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship with eligibility for High Public Trust As a Mid-level Data Center Technician, you will provide essential operational support for Treasury's data center infrastructure. Responsibilities include performing server racking, patching, system backups, and log analysis to maintain optimal system performance. You will play a key role in incident response, both on-site and remotely, ensuring compliance with established service-level agreements. Salary Range: 72,000-87,000 Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily system checks, monitor hardware health, and execute scheduled maintenance. Respond to and resolve incidents per defined SLAs, escalating when required. Support infrastructure backup, recovery, and patching processes. Accurately document maintenance activities, logs, and incident resolutions. Participate in a 24x7 support rotation, including weekends and holidays. Basic Qualifications (Required) U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for High Public Trust clearance. 18+ years of relevant IT infrastructure or data center experience. Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard enterprise tools. Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification. ServiceNow or other ITSM platform experience. Federal IT or large-scale enterprise infrastructure support experience. ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent training.
