Company Overview
A freight forwarding company is seeking a bilingual (Japanese-English) candidate to support their international logistics operations.
Job Summary
You will coordinate domestic and international shipping across air, ocean, truck, and rail, primarily between Asia (Japan, China) and North America (U.S. and Mexico). This position is open to entry-level candidates and offers long-term potential.
Main Responsibilities

• Arrange import/export shipments by air, truck, rail, and ocean
• Handle full documentation, including:
• Shipping Instructions
• Bill of Lading
• Freight Invoices
• Arrival Notices
• Delivery Orders
• SLIs (Shippers Letter of Instruction)
• Manage and review export documents such as letters of credit, insurance, and contracts
• Ensure all documentation is processed accurately and on time
• Provide delivery updates and required documentation to customers
• Create and issue sales invoices promptly
• Review documents from overseas agents and clients (e.g., ISF, shipping advice, customs entries)
• Communicate with overseas agents and clients regarding status updates, rates, and inquiries
• Track shipments and update clients and partners on progress
• Attend meetings and collaborate with internal teams
• Audit and resolve carrier billing issues
• Support with other logistics or administrative tasks as assigned
• Maintain organized filing of all documents
• Obtain operational certifications (e.g., TSA clearance) as needed
