The CRC Accounting Department is seeking to fill a Sr Accountant position. This position will be located in Long Beach, CA.

The base annual salary for this posted position is expected to range from $95k - $120K, with a target annual bonus of 10-15% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Match, Paid Holidays, FSA, HSA.

A Senior Analyst in Financial Reporting and Analysis combines advanced accounting knowledge with analytical skills to forecast, budget, and analyze financial performance.They areresponsible for developing financial models, conducting variance analysis, and presenting insights to support strategic decision-making.This role requires expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and a strong understanding of business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for the marketing & trading and Power results.
  • Analyze actual monthly results against planned budgets and outlooks to identify areas for improvement and explain actual results.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management in Oracle and HFM.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation, updates and monitor budget adherence.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and track KPIs to assess the company's financial health.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather insights and support decision-making.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports to senior management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • May assist with internal and external audit activities.
  • May work on ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in FP&A.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • Proficiency in HFM a plus
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices
