POSITION SUMMARY:

The responsibilities include being able to packing/bundling, carrying and stacking of cases or kegs. Must be able to relocate products outside of the warehouse or inside cargo containers. Separate kegs by vendor for organizational purposes. Enter all kegs received into system for inventory purposes. Also identify when enough merchandise has been received in other to ship out to each vendor. Additional duties in the Receiving Warehouse include receiving, inspecting, recording and processing shipments received. The clerk must collaborate with the supervisor or lead to list expected deliveries; Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt. Will work closely with Customer Service department to assure all merchandise is received. Must verify packages according to order and invoices, check quantity, quality, price etc. Contact the supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified and is responsible for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements. Must be able to label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place. Verify invoices received and obtain signatures; ensure invoices are paid for satisfactory deliveries. The use of a forklift machine will be necessary in order to move merchandise. Must assist in checking inventory as instructed, data entries and scanning of pallets, help in other warehouse related duties as needed.

Overtime will be required. Flexible schedule is a must.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs production work such as sorting, checking, and carrying heavy merchandise. Packing/bundling of goods and carrying and staking cases or kegs. Assists in prioritizing incoming merchandise. Monitor and able to identify when enough merchandise is received in order to ship out to each vendor. Checks to make sure cartons are labeled accurately for their contents on the pallets. Ensure that proper paperwork is received in order to process all packages. Completes warehouse receipts for all merchandise received and shipped out. Resolves any merchandising problems that may inhibit the receipt and/or shipment of goods. Monitors reports to ensure that all information is correct and updated as necessary. Assists in inventory preparation. Must be able to assist with data entries and scanning of pallets to maintain proper records. Be attentive and detailed about finding any mismatches on item descriptions and amounts between cargo received and what is reported on the purchase order of bill of ladings. Report necessary changes in pertaining to quantity, vintage time, merchandise size and proof, to Purchasing and Imports departments. Send documentation to the Imports department for all bonded cargo. Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels. Tracking any packages from UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon. Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized. Responsible for the application of accurate judgement for time allowance and unloading procedures of delivery loads. Responsible for advance delivery of the “Out of Stock List”. Must have a sense of urgency in prioritizing purchase orders and loads. Must be able to work simultaneously with the Warehouse Receiving Supervisor and Clerk at all instances. Responsible for ensuring that all imports and receiving packages are verified and correct. Responsible for overseeing that all empty containers are reported in a timely manner. Responsible for assisting in any container discrepancies or claims with other Departments, the police and surveyors. Responsible for Power BI PO Log and updating Customer Service on all P1 orders. Responsible for Power BI STAGING INVENTORY VALUE (PO’s that are in Pre-Receiving / Staging or Yard). Responsible for Power BI CONTAINER SUMMARY (Container that are full in yard / Container at dock door / Containers In off Loading. Responsible for receiving all cartridges. Other clerical administrative duties. Any other work assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of one-year warehouse experience or a combination of experience and education in a related field. 3-12 months of forklift experience. Forklift certified. Bilingual English / Spanish required.

Keyboard Computer Skills – MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet. Experience using handheld scanning devices (R F Smart).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working conditions transition from Office to Warehouse:

Warehouse Climate – Exposure to heat and cold. This job requires working exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.

Office Conditions are good. Physical demands are normal and those of regular conditions such as sitting, standing and walking.

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
