nMedical Associates Cardiology department is hiring a CMA, LPN, or RN to join their team!
nOur accredited cardiology department is known for providing excellent patient care by building relationships that last. This team is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional that’s willing to jump in and learn. Our skilled providers and support staff work together to provide specialized services, educate patients, and work across specialties on treatment plans.
nSchedule: Monday-Friday, 4 days a week, primarily 8:00am - 5:00pm, working about 76 hours per pay period. Flexibility is a must!

What you'll be doing:

Collect pertinent patient health care data, perform diagnostic testing, treatments, and review medical records and confer with physician/mid-level providers to ensure patient needs are met.

Educate patients and their families on heart health and treatment plans

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
n n - n
Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit

Essential Functions:

Collaborate with health care team according to plan of care.

Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and others. Promote patient wellness and provide patient education.

Document care provided, including but not limited to: interventions, medication, patient education, and assist with integrity of medical record.

Facilitate reimbursement of services provided, including but not limited to: charge tickets, referrals, and insurance requirements.
n n - n
Maintain an office environment that is safe, neat, organized, and supplied with necessary equipment, supplies, and educational materials. Ensure equipment is functioning safely and properly. Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.

Demonstrate flexibility in performing other additional duties of patient care. Provide input for devising systems to improve quality and efficiency of patient care and workflow. Participate in required meetings.

Complete all other assigned projects and duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
nExperience - From three months to one year of similar or related experience. Experience preferred but not required.
nEducation - Certification of Medical Assistant or valid LPN/RN required.
nInterpersonal Skills - A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
nOther Skills - Keyboarding skills and use of electronic equipment. Use and operate a wide variety of diagnostic and medical equipment. Use personal protection safety equipment including gloves, lab coats, gowns, goggles, and face masks/shields. BLS required biannually.
nPhysical Aspects:
nStooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
nKneeling - Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
nCrouching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
nReaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
nStanding - Particularly for sustained periods of time.
nWalking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
nPushing - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
nPulling - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
nLifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
nFingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
nGrasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
nFeeling - Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
nTalking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
nHearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
nVision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction
nMedium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds force constantly to move objects.
