Warehouse and Heavy Duty Forklift / Equipment Operator

Pay Rate: $18 - $22/hr DOE

Location: Houston, TX, 77060

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations while maintaining safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes to load and unload materials from delivery trucks.
n
• Operate other heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, and road machinery
n
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate stock levels within the warehouse management system.
n
• Perform heavy lifting and transport goods throughout the facility as needed.
n
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly stored.
n
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain a clean, organized work area.
n
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.

Skills

n
• Proficient in operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
n
• Experience with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.
n
• Basic computer literacy, including experience with inventory systems or ERP/ SAP platforms
n
• Forklift Certification is a plus
n
• Strong understanding of shipping and receiving protocols within a distribution center environment.
n
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
n
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
n
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
n
• Bilingual English /Spanish is .
