nAbout the role
nOperates, inspects, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities to achieve the most efficient results. Assures that equipment is being maintained in a safe manner. Minimizes downtime through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.
nWhat you will do:
nAssemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment,
nappliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
n•Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
n•Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
n•Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
n•Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
n•Perform the installation of conduit, including electrical-metallic tubing, plastic-mold, and wire-mold.
n•Perform the installation of transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment in electrical generating and distributing stations and buildings.
n•Perform additions, extensions, or alterations to electrical installations for power, light, heat, and appliances in buildings and on grounds.
n•Troubleshoot, perform repairs, and test a variety of motors, electrical circuits, machinery, transformers, meters, and recording instruments.
n•Perform installations and connections of motors, lights, controllers, voltage regulators, racks, and various electrical fixtures.
n•Inspect and perform cleaning and maintenance to electrical equipment and motors, including replacement of brushes and necessary parts.
n•Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems.
n•Assist in operating and maintaining cathodic protection on gas and water distribution systems.
n•Ensure a safe work environment.
n•Maintain and perform repairs to equipment and tools.
n•Attending related training sessions.
n•Assist other staff as necessary.
n•Perform other duties as assigned.
n•Review and interpret blueprints and determine material lists and costs.
n•Estimate time and materials necessary to perform a job.
n•Assist with inspections of new installations and/or modifications performed by others.
n•Obtain electrical permits when required.
n•Secure meter applications when required.
n•Organize and direct the work of journeypersons and helpers as assigned.
n•Train journeypersons and helpers as assigned.
n•Perform related tasks as assigned.
nWhat you’ll need
n•Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
n•High School diploma or GED completed vocational training.
n•Apprenticeship
n•5 years of in-field experience in commercial electrical work.
n•Fully understands local electrical codes, procedures, and specialized skills.
nRequired Licenses and Certifications:
n•Possess and maintain a Journeyman Electrician license.
n•Or Master Electrician License
n•Possess and maintain a Driver’s License.

nPay Disclaimer: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $80,000 annually, and the maximum salary for this position is $110,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
