Position Summary:
nThe HSE Manager for the power/electrical division plays a hands-on, field-focused role in building and maintaining a strong safety culture across our operations. This role is critical in ensuring that all employees—from drivers to field technicians—adhere to safety protocols, wear required PPE, and return home safely each day. The HSE Manager works closely with Operations, Human Resources, and our customers to support safety initiatives, provide on-site training, and monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Conduct regular field visits to job sites, ensuring proper PPE use and that safety protocols are followed

Collaborate with management to develop and implement company-specific safety policies and procedures
n n - n
Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate reporting and documentation
n n - n
Lead and participate in job site inspections, hazard assessments, and audits
n n - n
Initiate immediate corrective actions and stop unsafe activities when necessary
n n - n
Investigate and document workplace incidents, injuries, near-misses, and property damage, and drive follow-up corrective actions
n n - n
Provide training and mentoring to field and office staff on safety procedures and expectations
n n - n
Manage customer-specific safety protocols and reporting, especially for EPC projects and contractor compliance systems (e.g., ISNetworld)
n n - n
Maintain and monitor PPE inventory and ensure field personnel have access to appropriate gear
n n - n
Participate in the rotating on-call schedule for after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage
n n - n
Communicate safety metrics, trends, and improvement plans with internal stakeholders and external clients

Stay current on industry best practices and complete professional development as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Extensive working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards

Experience using contractor management platforms (ISNetworld or similar)
n n - n
Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects is a plus
n n - n
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
n n - n
Ability to conduct safety meetings, tailgates, and formal training sessions
n n - n
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and report writing

Strong organizational and time management skills
n n - n
Ability to pass drug test and background (criminal and MVR) checks
n n - n
Willingness to travel frequently to active job sites

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered

Minimum 5 years of safety in energy, electrical, or oilfield industries

Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and navigate rugged field locations

Must be able to sit at a computer as needed for reporting/communication
