Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team and support high-volume events, corporate functions, weddings, and other catered services. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced banquet or catering environments and a strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items for large-scale events based on production schedules and chef direction.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
Set up and break down banquet kitchen stations efficiently.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the event chef or banquet captain.
Assist in food prep prior to event start and maintain food quality throughout service.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen workstations.
Comply with all health and food safety guidelines and company policies.
Support team during plated and buffet service, replenishing and rotating food as needed.
Communicate effectively with culinary and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in banquets, catering, or high-volume food service.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation.
Must be punctual, professional, and work well under pressure.
ServSafe certification or a food handler’s certificate is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
