Job Description This recruitment is exempt from the Hiring Freeze (Administrative Order 358). This position is being recruited in both Anchorage and Juneau; final location is based on the location of the selected candidate. What You Will Be Doing

This position functions as the Department of Revenue's primary web developer and content architect, responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Department's Internet and Intranet web presence using modern web technologies and content management systems. This includes full lifecycle support for internal and public-facing sites through tools like Microsoft SharePoint Online (O365), Sitefinity CMS, and supporting technologies.

The incumbent independently evaluates business needs and translates them into accessible, standards-compliant, secure, and engaging web solutions. This position operates with a high level of technical autonomy and collaborates with program subject matter experts and stakeholders across all divisions Mission and Culture

The Department of Revenue's Administrative Services Division provides centralized support services for core division programs whose missions are to collect, distribute, and invest funds for public purposes. Benefits of Joining Our Team

The work schedule consists of 7.5-hour days, with a 37.5-hour work week, and after completing one-year probationary period you have the option to request an alternate work week. Who We Are Looking For Data Management: Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and tools of data management, such as modeling techniques, data backup, data recovery, data dictionaries, data warehousing, data mining, data archiving, data disposal, and data standardization processes. Data Systems: Knowledge of computer hardware and software development and systems as they apply to the conception, specification, analysis, planning, development, installation, test, modification and use of data handling and computing systems in support of aerospace flight and ground systems. Database Administration: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for automating, developing, implementing, or administering database systems. Database Management Systems: Knowledge of the uses of database management systems and software to control the organization, storage, retrieval, security, and integrity of data. Logical Systems Design: Knowledge of the principles and methods for designing business logic components, system processes and outputs, user interfaces, data inputs, and productivity tools (for example, computer-aided software engineering). Minimum Qualifications Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.

Substitution:

A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS) or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience.

An applicant who is considered under the Substitution above qualifies to apply for this job class IF the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire. Under this option, an applicant may receive a conditional job offer; however, proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.
