Job Description Summary Under limited direction, with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to enhance and support a wide variety of projects assigned by the Lead Quant, Equity Trading, related to algo-enhancement & development, creating back-testing framework, and related data-analytics projects. Leads the design and oversees the creation and deployment of algo enhancement and additions while leveraging internal sources and coordinating with external vendors. Works independently to complete complex task within the timeframe provided. Uses understanding of the goal to generate ideas and enhancements that provide a more complete and effective product.

Job Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Develops and implements added execution algos and enhancements for Raymond James electronic trading business. Analyzes and provides quantitative analysis of Raymond James (RJ) historical trade data from several sources. Creates back-testing models to evaluate and optimize the firm's trading strategies. Initiates and maintains excellent working rapport with business contacts. Takes new ideas, methods, or models and implements them efficiently. Work on other quantitative tasks assigned by the group. Recommend and implement enhancements and improvements to our electronic trading product offering. Work with various internal teams to understand existing and new trading applications and processes employed to develop, test, deploy, support and troubleshoot them. Disseminates information to the Raymond James (RJ) Electronic Trading team and clients on a timely basis. Communicate with vendors to drive the evolution of platforms and work with new vendors on opportunities to deliver new methods, or models to implement efficiently. Perform in-depth venue analysis, market structure analysis, pre- and post-transaction cost analysis and algorithmic customization for clients. Performs and manages other quantitative duties and responsibilities as assigned. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Statistics or Financial Engineering or Business and a minimum of (5) five to (7) seven years of experience in Quantitative Development & Research. ~or~ Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources. Licenses/Certifications

SIE, FINRA Series 7, Series 55 and Series 63 Licenses. (Preferable but not required)

Education Bachelor's: Accounting (Required), Bachelor's: Business Administration (Required), Bachelor's: Finance (Required)

Work Experience General Experience - 6 to 10 years

Certifications Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)

Salary Range $130,000.00-$200,000.00
