The person hired for the position of Garage Mechanic will work at our 3M Little Rock Site. The impact you will make in this role: As a Garage Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Conducting vehicle inspections and diagnostics tests to identify worn and damaged parts Maintaining and improving equipment availability by completing preventative and corrective maintenance on mining and mobile equipment such as wheeled loaders, excavators, haul trucks, rock breakers, graders, water trucks, sweepers, Cushman carts, etc. Performing corrective maintenance that may include repairs, adjustments, replacement of major and minor assemblies and components related to power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, and hydraulic systems Participating in the total life cycle costs of equipment by ensuring best value use of warranties, service contracts, and maintenance records Your skills and expertise: To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Possess a two (2) year technical degree or diploma OR minimum of three (3) years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance in lieu of degree Must be able to work any shift, extended hours, weekends, short notice call in, holidays as needed, outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme weather conditions, and must supply their toolbox and set of tools. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Possess a two (2) year technical degree or diploma OR minimum of three (3) years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance in lieu of degree Possess a current and valid driver's license with a valid CDL Work location: Little Rock, AR Travel: None Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Sign on Bonus: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). Pay transparency: The starting rate of pay range for this position is $30.50/hr. - $37.25/hr. Additionally, there is a shift premium if applicable. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
