The Food Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of food production, storage, and distribution processes in support of field or ground-based operations. This role ensures all food handling and preparation activities meet regulatory standards, customer requirements, and operational needs in dynamic, high-demand environments. You will: Develop, implement, and monitor food safety and quality assurance programs in accordance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and other regulatory standards. Conduct inspections and audits of food handling, storage, preparation, and distribution processes across all ground operations. Train food service and support personnel on proper hygiene, food safety procedures, and quality control standards. Coordinate with logistics, kitchen, and procurement teams to ensure proper sourcing, receiving, and storage of food supplies. Investigate and resolve food safety incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, inspections, and corrective actions. Support readiness for third-party and internal audits and ensure continuous compliance with all food safety regulations. Advise leadership on improvements in food quality, safety protocols, and operational efficiency. You might be the professional we're looking for if you have: Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in food quality assurance, preferably in a field, military, or high-volume operational setting. Certification in HACCP, ServSafe, or equivalent food safety program. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems (USDA, FDA, ISO, etc.). Ability to work in high-tempo, potentially austere environments and travel as required. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
