Responsibilities :

Perform a lead role in the planning, design and implementation of embedded software application development activities required for testing, verification and integration of the application features, utilities, and tools to be employed on satellite User Terminals (UT) for low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite internet services offered by the company; particularly for the Satellite Subscriber Module (SSM) and its derived platforms. Contribute to the overall architecture design for the SSM software modules within the UT and lead the efforts of junior staff to implement the design threads using the C++ programming language; employ C++ to code, unit test and integrate new functionality for the Host Processor of the SSM having as a target an embedded and real time environment. Establish the requirements for specific software modules to meet the business or operational needs for delivering new or enhanced UT functionality. Plan and lead integration of software and hardware components developed by external vendors to include defining RESTful APIs to collect statistics and enable features on the managed external components, planning the design of applications to manage the installation, and configuration and the general health of these components (e.g. GPS receivers, Wi-Fi routers and Modem variants used in the satellite user terminals). Plan and implement the overall functional and performance testing operations for features of the SSM and its derived platforms; record and track testing results using an internal tracking tool to ensure that the functionality of application features are fully verified prior to release to the production environment. Establish testing requirements and goals for functional integration; create test plans for initial testing, sanity verification of the software releases. Assist with execution of customer acceptance test campaigns to demonstrate the new satellite UT software functionality by explaining the design and workings associated with the new functionality. Plan for, establish, and maintain application test beds to be used internally by different development teams across the organization for effective application testing and debugging. Be responsible for identifying and resolving software and configuration issues with existing software releases and document these issues in the corresponding tracking tools to improve the product. Establish use of network testing and quality assurance tools such as Wireshark, QUALCOMM's QXDM and QCAT to collect logs and investigate 3GPP 4G LTE as well as 3GPP 5g NTN network call setup issues of the satellite UT within a laboratory environment. Provide technical training, mentorship and support to junior-level team members involved with the development of the SSM and its derived/related platforms. Plan and contribute to the design of next generation User Terminal Architecture based on 5G Non-Terrestrial Network Cellular Protocol Stack. Basic Requirements :

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering plus 3 years of experience as a software developer or software engineering position OR Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering plus 5 years of experience as a software developer or software engineering position. Must have experience: Three years of experience gained developing application solutions to integrate network broadband data network components. Three years of experience employing Wireshark, and ualcomm QXDM and QCAT. Three years of experience supporting the development of RESTful APIs Three years of experience implementing 3GPP based 4G LTE and 5G Non-Terrestrial Network cellular protocol stacks within application solutions The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range Annual Salary: $173,763.00 - $173,763.00
