The Impact You'll Make in this Role As an Electrician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Replaces faulty electrical components of equipment (relays, switches, motors, etc.) Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, etc. Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and components of equipment Diagnosing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of failures and eliminating equipment problems Assist with projects, installation of new equipment and modification of existing equipment Follow the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and all company policies and procedures (Environmental, Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, etc.) Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: Possess a high school diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start). Five (5) years of electrician experience working around heavy machinery. Ability to work weekends, overtime, holidays as needed, short notice shift coverage, and ability to work 2nd shift (2 PM
10 PM) with assistance with working 1st and 3rd shift, as needed. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution Seven years of Electrician experience and/or apprenticeship experience in a private, public, government, or military environment Certified and licensed Electrician in the state of California Critical thinking, problem solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills Ability to communicate effectively throughout and work with cross-functional teams Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Recent experience working at a mine, quarry, cement plant or similar industry. Pay & Benefits The starting rate of pay for this position is $43.10. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
