Principal System Administrator - Network Operations Center
This position will work a "Panama Schedule" for 24/7 shift coverage, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, each team works the same shift (day) for 28 days then switches to the other shift (night) for the next 28 days. What You Will Do: You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Network Operations Center (NOC) System Administrator. This position is responsible for monitoring the Infrastructure Service Provider (ISP) hosting equipment and services consisting of computers (server), networks, storage, and backup & archive, all in a fast-paced environment. Tasks include answering and managing calls in a 24x7 monitoring center, providing prompt and professional responses to incidents and inquiries, monitoring system dashboards for the status of services, creating Incidents in the Incident Management system, assigning Incidents to the appropriate Tier-2/Tier-3 assignment groups, assisting with troubleshooting services to restore full mission capability, and/or coordinating with other service providers when incidents span system boundaries. Investigate and rectify procedural discrepancies as well as identifying areas of process improvement. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience. Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. On start date- Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following professional certifications: Security +, CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA +, CND. Experience in a technical operations environment. Experience with Windows. Qualifications We Prefer: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism. Experience with Linux. Experience with Science Logic. Experience with virtual/cloud computing technologies such as Citrix VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
