Sports Nutrition Intern

The University of Louisville Athletic Department seeks candidates for a Sports Nutrition Intern position to assist with providing nutritional support services to the University of Louisville Football student-athletes for the 2025 Season. The Sports Nutrition Intern will assist with the delivery of performance nutrition education, one-on-one counseling for individual goals and return to play, and food service operations. Job Responsibilities: Assist in nutrition education for athletes and contribute to a culture of accountability. Assist in monitoring body weights and body composition analysis. Assist in fueling and hydration strategies for lifts, practices, and games (at home and on the road). Manage inventory and day-to-day food operations of weight room fueling station, snack room, dining area, catering kitchen, and travel trunks. Order supplies for the fueling station and snack room. Support student workforce with daily assigned tasks. Assist with catering vendors for team meals/snacks. Assist with Thornton's Dining Center when football is present. Check travel meals at hotels when necessary and monitor fueling for performance. Coordinate cleaning tasks and food safety management. Preferred Qualifications: Registered Dietitian (RD) with active status through the Commission on Dietetics Registration. Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
