Inventory Specialist

is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position designed to support the overall efficiency and performance of store operations. This role focuses on inventory management, operational execution, and team support while contributing to a seamless in-store customer experience. The position includes a pay rate of
$XX/hour , plus commission on eligible products. Primary Job Responsibilities Store Operations & Organization Support daily operational flow, including opening/closing procedures and reporting. Oversee outbound shipments for online orders and inventory sweeps. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and merchandised to visual standards. Assist with the receipt, tagging, and organization of inbound shipments. Inventory Management Receive and process inventory accurately. Maintain organized backstock and front-of-house areas. Partner with management on cycle counts, audits, and variance reporting. Support loss prevention through accurate record-keeping and process adherence. Team Leadership & Support Act as lead on the floor in the absence of store management. Assist with onboarding and training of new hires. Guide and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence. Customer Service & Sales Support Assist customers on the sales floor as needed. Ensure the team is equipped with tools and resources to succeed. Promote a collaborative, customer-first culture. Point of Sale (POS) & Transactions Operate and troubleshoot POS systems accurately. Support cash handling procedures and end-of-day reconciliation when needed. Measures of Success Accurate and timely inventory processing with minimal errors or variances. Efficient store operations and shipment fulfillment. Positive feedback from peers and leadership on leadership and teamwork. High levels of team readiness and organization. Strong customer service interactions and support to the sales floor. Proactive communication and consistent adherence to operational protocols. Job requirements: Previous experience in order, inventory, and warehouse management software (Deposco and Shopify preferred). Able to lift up to 50 pounds Proficiency with required computer skills to operate Word, Excel, and email. Strong proficiency in, or the capacity to swiftly and effectively acquire, knowledge of our point of sale system, warehouse inventory system, and Asana. Must be a self-driven, problem-solver.
