Facility: This medical center is a leading healthcare provider in the Rio Grande Valley offering comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility features a Level 2 trauma center with a strong focus on pathology services and specialized care for patients throughout the region.
Opportunity: Pathology
Job Details: - Hospital hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities after hours, weekends, and holidays - Seeking pathologists who specialize in Gynecologic/surgical pathology - Provide comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services - Perform and interpret surgical pathology including GI, GU, neuro, dermato, and hematopathology - Handle cytology services including GYN, non-GYN, and FNA procedures - Conduct autopsies (both forensic and non-forensic) - Perform grossing and cutting of frozen sections - Manage hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank responsibilities - Bone marrow aspiration/biopsy and interpretation - Experience in pediatric tumor pathology preferred
