* Trauma Center Designation: Level II * ED Volume: 37,000; additional 6,000 trauma patients * ED Bays: 45 * EMR: Epic * Plain film suite within the ED * 24-hour respiratory therapists available * Dedicated CT located in the ED * 24-hour MRI capabilities * 24-hour ultrasound capabilities * Designated Stroke Center * Cardiac STEMI/Cardiac Surgery Center * Staffed locked psych unit with behavioral health staff, nurses, and psychiatrists * Two roof-top helipads * Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center (DV/SAC) * UM Capital Region Medical Center is a state-of-the-art acute care teaching hospital supporting Prince George's County and the surrounding areas.
