The LPN will work collaboratively with residents and other healthcare providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment while delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Provide personalized care to residents in specialized units, including those dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as patients in transitional rehabilitation and long-term care.- Utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to interact effectively with residents exhibiting challenging behaviors.- Ensure proper delivery of skilled nursing services such as IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment.- Attend to the physical and emotional needs of residents, promoting a home-like atmosphere.- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.- Be flexible to work various shifts and float to other units as required to meet staffing needs. Qualifications: - Associate's degree in Nursing or completion of a Maine State Board approved LPN course.- Valid State of Maine or compact Licensed Practical Nurse license is required.- 1-3 years of previous RN/LPN experience is preferred.- Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage.- A commitment to providing compassionate care to residents and their families.- Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 as required.
