The ideal candidate will possess experience with Cerner, IV competencies, and a passion for patient care. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with varying conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.- Monitor patient progress and vital signs while adjusting care plans as needed.- Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.- Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR), specifically Cerner.- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Qualifications: - Valid NC or compact nursing license.- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.- Competence in IV therapy and a strong understanding of common diagnoses such as COPD exacerbations, GI bleeds, diabetic complications, and more. Preferred Skills: - Experience in charge nursing roles.- Familiarity with various medical equipment, including Baxter IV pumps and PCA pumps.- Strong patient advocacy skills and the ability to thrive in a busy, challenging environment. Unit Information: - Number of Beds: 18- Patient Ratios: 1:6- Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, PCA pumps- Supervisor Oversight: Involvement with a leadership team focused on patient care excellence.
