Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Montclair, NJ 07042 (New Jersey healthcare jobs) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/18/2025 - 11/17/2025) Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Schedule: Every other weekend; flexible scheduling to meet unit needs Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (hospital nursing jobs) Charting System: Epic EMR Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990 - $2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey RN license preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Multi-facility L&D or prior travel nurse experience required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (required for L&D nursing jobs) Proficiency with Epic charting system Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from Montclair, NJ Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive clinical care to laboring mothers and newborns Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and circulate for C-sections Perform triage of obstetrical patients and conduct sterile vaginal exams Administer medications and therapies, including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips Manage central lines (CVC/PICC) and maintain isolation precautions/PPE Utilize intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care and interventions in Epic EMR Ready to take your Labor & Delivery nursing career to the next level?
