Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients by performing both clinical and operational duties. The PSR II is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens and preparing them for lab testing, while also managing administrative tasks such as verifying patient information. This role requires exceptional phlebotomy skills, patient communication, and commitment to safety, compliance, and process excellence. Candidates must also be flexible and willing to support multiple sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical specimen collection (venipuncture, capillary draws) with skill and accuracy
- Conduct pediatric and geriatric collections with a high level of care
- Verify and label patient samples accurately post-collection
- Maintain proper documentation and patient records
- Ensure a clean, professional, and safe environment for patients and staff
- Provide exceptional customer service and build patient confidence
- Support site closing responsibilities (5:30 PM closure)
- Adhere to all safety, health, and procedural policies
- Travel as needed to support multiple patient service centers or in-office phlebotomy locations
- Handle high-volume, fast-paced workflows with minimal supervision
- Run testing in addition to phlebotomy services
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Customer service background in healthcare, retail, or service industry preferred
- Experience with data entry/keyboard systems
- Medical assistant or paramedic training
- Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, and WA; preferred in other states)
- Excellent phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Adaptability and flexibility to support multiple sites
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if travel is required)
- Competence in handling confidential information and sensitive patient data
- Leadership behaviors and initiative
- Experience running in-office testing equipment
- Commitment to process improvement and patient satisfaction
