Ensures proper imaging techniques related to patients' age and ability to understand the procedure. Reviews patient information and interprets data to confirm appropriate plans and interventions specific for age-related needs. Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable standards and policies. Primarily conducts adult outpatient procedures for patients aged 16 and older. Handles various general nuclear medicine exams such as bone scans, HIDA scans, and thyroid studies. Analyzes results and identifies issues with imaging quality. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues as needed. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols. Monitors patient conditions continually and reports changes in status as needed. Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in nuclear medicine rooms. Maintains a high level of professionalism in all interactions. Communicates respectfully and maintains a positive attitude.
