Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiograph TechnologistLocation: Portland, ORSalary: $100,000 - $150,000 + Signing Bonus + Paid RelocationBenefits: Full Benefits PackagePosition Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiograph Technologist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing a variety of cardiac ultrasound examinations and possess a deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology. This role is crucial for accurately diagnosing the presence or absence of heart disease and will involve working with complex ultrasound equipment.Key Responsibilities: Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians. Utilize a range of complex ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Analyze and objectively identify heart disease or abnormalities based on a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assist physicians with advanced and invasive echocardiography procedures, including: Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) Trans-catheter echo-guided procedures Pericardiocentesis Echo-guided myocardial biopsies Contrast-enhanced exams Exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography Adapt procedures and techniques to meet unique circumstances and ensure clinically useful, cost-effective information is provided. RequirementsQualifications:Required: Oregon Sonographer license. National Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Associate's degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography. One year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, or a minimum of 800 completed exams using all available imaging modalities. Experience with pediatric echocardiography. Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart failure patients and mechanical support devices.
