This role will support the MCVP Neurology Department by managing day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts, processing invoices and reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. They will help maintain accurate financial records, assist with budget tracking, and support audits or financial reviews, contributing to the department's overall financial accuracy and efficiency. A strong emphasis will be placed on customer service-ensuring that faculty and staff receive timely, helpful support-and on training others to become more self-sufficient in key financial processes. It is critical that this team member understands the dual structure of the institutions we support and can navigate both effectively to ensure seamless coordination and compliance.We are seeking an experienced accounting/finance specialist, preferably with healthcare experience, who can truly hit the ground running with our team. This individual should have a strong understanding of JVs, the ability to think critically and independently about expenses when doing reconciliations, and be highly organized and attentive to detail.The Financial Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the Financial Accounting function to include but not limited to month-end closing processing, general ledger review and reconcilement, tracking cash activities from bank statements, reports and/or daily cash transactions.
