Hinds Hospice, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California's Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking aMajor Gifts and Development Officer to join our team.
The Major Gifts & Development Officer plays a central role in advancing the philanthropic mission of Hinds Hospice. This strategic and relational leader will manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, including major gifts, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, event fundraising, donor stewardship, and data integrity. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors at all levels, with a primary emphasis on major donors ($10,000+). The ideal candidate will be both relationship-driven and data-informed, with a passion for all areas of hospice and life care and a demonstrated ability to engage community support.

Qualifications
- Compensation $70k-$90k annually based on experience

- Paid Time Off (24.5 days per year for FT employees , based on 40-hour work week).
- Paid Mileage
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or other related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in sales or fund development with proven leadership in fund raising preferred.
- Hospice experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of hospice regulations and required documentation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Raisers Edge preferred.
- Possess reliable automobile which may be used in the course of work, and have a valid California drivers license with acceptable driving record and proof of auto insurance and current auto registration.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 10 lbs.)
