We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with industry protocols and safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, contribute to high-quality patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance. Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Locations: Upstate New York, NY & Neptune, NJ Job Type: Full-Time in Upstate New York | Part-time in Neptune, NJ Schedule: For full-time in NY-Day time hour with no call & no weekends; For part-time in NJ- 7 am to 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm. There is flexibility on the day (M-F). Qualifications: Graduate of an AMA-accredited Nuclear Medicine programRegistered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)Holds all applicable state licenses where services are performedMinimum 1-2 years of nuclear scanning experience preferredKnowledge of EKG and stress testingBLS Certification (must be maintained annually)Strong computer, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible schedule and willingness to travel as needed Key Responsibilities: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as directed by the physicianCalibrate nuclear medicine equipment (e.g., dose calibrators, gamma cameras, Geiger counters)Position patients appropriately and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understandingConduct diagnostic imaging studies and produce high-quality images using specialized equipmentMonitor and record radiation levels, ensuring proper safety measures and compliance with regulationsReceive, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with federal/state guidelinesMaintain and clean equipment per manufacturer recommendations and report malfunctions promptlyComplete all required paperwork and documentation thoroughly and accuratelyPerform daily, weekly, and quarterly quality control checks on all relevant equipmentEnsure ongoing compliance with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principlesMaintain adequate inventory and supplies for both fixed and mobile testing environmentsCommunicate effectively with team members, customer service personnel, and site coordinatorsReport any incidents or unusual occurrences following established company proceduresStay current with OSHA, compliance, and ongoing job competency training Benefits: Healthcare Insurance: Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents healthcare coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus.
