Schedule: Monday through Friday
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated MRI Technologist to join a reputable healthcare facility's Radiology team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating MRI equipment and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI imaging procedures in alignment with departmental standards and protocols
  • Properly position patients and MRI coils to ensure optimal image quality
  • Educate patients about MRI procedures, safety, and expectations
  • Review and confirm MRI safety screening forms before scanning
  • Assess images for diagnostic accuracy and upload to PACS in a timely manner
  • Document exam details and maintain accurate records in the Radiology Information System (IDX)
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the MRI suite and equipment
  • Monitor and restock necessary supplies
  • Support physicians during procedures as needed
  • Strictly adhere to MRI safety protocols and infection control measures
  • Report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
  • Attend mandatory in-service sessions and maintain current certifications
  • Perform related clerical duties and assist with scheduling as needed
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of MRI technology, cross-sectional anatomy, and MR physics
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of MRI experience preferred
Education Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Required:
    • New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology (L.R.T.)
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), MRI Certified
    • BLS Certification
    • NY State IV Certification
