About the job:

MJH is growing and we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator! This role is responsible for managing and processing customer invoices, tracking outstanding payments and ensuring timely collections. This role involves reconciling accounts, resolving bill discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records to support the companys cash flow and financial health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that established accounting procedures are followed for processing invoices
  • Maintain accurate records, up to date billing systems and generate/send out invoices
  • Follow-up on, collect and allocate payments as applicable
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries and communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
  • Assist with preparation of monthly statements, or as requested by supervisor
  • Review AR aging to ensure compliance with policy and procedures
  • Working cross functionally with other departments to resolve disputes and maintain relationships

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist all areas of accounting department with any ad hoc requests

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, concatenate)
  • Excellent Communication skills. Able to communicate with multiple departments and management levels.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
  • Self-starter and detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Highly driven and self-motivated (curious individual that will seek analysis)
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

Education

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline a plus

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience in accounting, inventory, reporting, and consolidation.
  • Full P&L experience a plus.
  • Prior experience in working directly with cross-functional teams in analyzing financial statements and inventory related data.
