Title: Sr Tax Manager
Location: Mansfield, Texas
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the companys tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions. This role will ensure that the organization adheres to all applicable tax laws and regulations while optimizing tax strategies. The Senior Tax Manager will lead a team of tax professionals and collaborate closely with senior leadership, accounting, and finance teams to ensure accurate tax filings and effective tax strategies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the companys tax position.
- Oversee indirect tax compliance, including sales and use taxes, VAT, and other transactional taxes.
- Contribute to the overall TTI review and management of the effective tax rate and tax accounting in the companys financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage the relationship with external tax advisors and auditors, ensuring timely and accurate communication and support.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and provide recommendations on how they may impact the organizations tax position.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments to facilitate collaboration and ensure alignment on tax-related matters.
- Mentor and develop junior tax team members, providing training, feedback, and career development opportunities.
- Regularly assess the companys tax risk management policies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, ensuring appropriate tax treatment and structuring.
- Develop and maintain productive work teams by hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance.
- Manage teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
- Customarily and regularly direct the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent. Make suggestions and recommendations for these employees regarding performance, including hiring, transfer, advancement, and termination.
- Manage daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
- Work with minimum supervision and make independent judgments.
- Be flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willing to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
- Initiate, establish, and maintain highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures and at all levels.

- Assist management with the development of results-oriented strategies.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent technical skills in tax research and analysis.
- Experience with tax compliance, reporting, and planning.
- Ability to apply tax concepts to the global Mouser business model to optimize the companys results.
- Proficient with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent tax certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree is typically expected.
- Internal candidates: Minimum 4 years of total management experience, including a minimum of 2 years as an exceptional performing Mouser manager.
- External candidates: Minimum 5 years of total management experience, including 3 years experience as a manager or higher-level management position. Exceptional references required.
- Experience in managing corporate tax functions, including federal, state, and international tax compliance and planning.
- Proven track record of managing and developing a team of tax professionals.
