OneMain is seeking a Payroll Analyst Senior to join our team in Irving, TX. The position supports daily operations of the payroll department and serves as a subject matter expert on payroll practices and procedures.
In the Role
- Analysis, review & reconciliation of all aspects of payroll governance & compliance, including tax (federal, state, local, payroll taxes, multi-state taxation), garnishments, levies, benefit deductions, stock compensation, W2 preparation, and other miscellaneous payroll processes.
- Manage the administration of tax governance and compliance, including communication with management & employees, and oversee system changes (verification, testing, and reconciliation where applicable).
- Ensure payroll processes integrate with benefits, compensation, compliance, finance, treasury, tax, accounting, and technology departments; manage third-party relationships with tax jurisdictions; research and resolve issues with vendors and employees.
- Review and audit payroll processing to ensure accuracy related to funding and tax filings (quarterly and annual).
- Represent payroll in company projects affecting systems support or payroll administration, including tax-related issues such as timing of changes across federal entities.
- Develop and design reports for end-users and ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Continuously seek ways to improve payroll processes, leveraging Workdays capabilities and staying current on payroll best practices.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
- Must have multi-state payroll tax experience.
- Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience in a company with over 5,000 employees.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
Preferred:
- Experience with tax practices in payroll processing.
- Related certification (CPP or FPC) strongly preferred.
- Workday experience preferred.
