An East LA manufacturer is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will own the full month-end close, journal entries, amortization schedules, fixed assets, prepaids, reconciliations, and AR. To be successful, the candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, flexibility, and leadership capability. What do you need in this Accounting Manager role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GL and inventory accounting
- CPA is a plus (active CPA preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
What will you do in this role?
- Own key areas of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules
- Prepare and maintain amortization schedules, rebate accounting, and other accruals
- Reconcile prepaids, fixed assets, and support AR deductions tracking and resolution
- Collaborate cross-functionally for accurate and timely financial reporting
- Provide support for GAAP accounting questions
- Identify opportunities to streamline the close cycle
- Partner with the Controller on system improvements and internal controls
