Luxury apparel brand seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Junior Accountant. You will play an important role in ensuring accurate and efficient automated account payables processes. You will act as a steward of the company in helping to carefully handle sensitive and confidential information. This role reports to and is directed by our Finance Manager.
YOUR IMPACT
Oversee the Accounts Payable Automation Platform, Yooz
- Process invoices through automated system and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Invoice workflow automation (invoice routing and approvals).
- Reconcile invoices and payment data.
- Prepare data, reports, and information required for forensic investigators where required.
- Provide training and support to team members on automation tools.
- Oversee the automated invoice processing workflow, ensuring invoices are accurately captured, coded, and routed for approval through the system.
- Maintain vendor records within the AP system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for payment processing.
T&E
- Prepare and distribute monthly American Express statements to all company credit cardholders.
- Review and verify credit card charges for accuracy, ensuring appropriate receipts and documentation are provided by cardholders.
- Tack and follow up on the missing receipts or unapproved charges.
- Assist with coding expenses and ensure transactions are aligned with company polices and accounting procedures.
- Support the reconciliation of credit card transactions to the general ledger.
- Maintain organized records of all credit card statements, receipts and related approval for audit purposes.
Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile daily sales and cash receipts from retail stores and online channels.
- Prepare and distribute customer statements to enhance AR efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of AR activities for audit and reporting purposes.
- Work with retail locations and sales teams to resolve customer payment issues.
- Investigate and resolve chargebacks, payment disputes, and short payments.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status, billing discrepancies, and account issues.
- Monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances and follow-up on past due invoices.
Other Duties and Tasks
- Assist with general administrative tasks and workload.
- Collaborate with accounts payable, receivable and other departments.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation between Nova POS sales and Adyen payment reports.
- Match payment types (credit card, debit cards, digital e-wallets, etc.) between NOVA and Adyen, identifying any variances.
- Review and reconcile refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments between two systems.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales or payment transactions by collaborating with retail teams, IT and payment providers.
- Maintain organized records of reconciliation activities for internal controls and audits.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role with an emphasis on data analysis
- Good understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end accounts payable process
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable automation tools, experience with Yooz is a plus
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ability to generate spreadsheets, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent analytical abilities with the confidence to analyze large amounts of data
- Meticulous attention to detail

OUR COMMITMENT
The compensation for this role is $30.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidates relevant skills and experience.
