Responsibilities
Overview
- Prepare and review annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts.
- Assist with feasibility modeling for land acquisition transactions.
- Assist with due diligence research and land acquisition packages.
- Prepare supplementary reports and analyses for management.
- Update divisional key indicator reports.
- Prepare and review weekly Gross Margin Backlog Reports.
- Assist with pricing updates, lot releases, and MLS updates.
- Prepare monthly lot takedown reports.
- Assist with quarterly corporate reporting.
- Prepare monthly Proforma updates and provide written variance explanations.
- Coordinate monthly budget meetings with other departments.
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or Masters degree a plus.
- 5+ years of finance or accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Homebuilding industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
- High-level Excel skills, including scenario analysis and spreadsheet modeling.
- Experience with budgeting/forecasting software; JD Edwards/PeopleSoft and SAP/Business Objects preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
- Ability to write and explain complex information clearly.
