Responsibilities:

Reporting to the College's Assistant Director of Administration & Operations, the Program Coordinator provides administrative, project management, and program/event support to programs within the College. This position serves as an independent coordinator between students, deans, staff, faculty, and campus partners. Responsibilities include developing knowledge of and facility with Brown’s academic and financial policies and procedures and providing project management and logistical support for communications, events, and program applications and other processes. This position serves as an initial point of contact, addressing general and program-specific inquiries from multiple stakeholder groups, and connecting them with resources across the University. As a member of the College's operations and support team, this position will provide back-up support to assigned programs within the College's academic advising, curriculum, and co-curriculum teams and general administrative support for the College’s office-wide procedures and processes.

Major Responsibilities

Coordinate the communications needs of assigned programs.

Program operations, financial transactions, and assessment support.

Planning and coordination of program-related events.

Develop and streamline office processes and provide administrative support for designated teams and program areas.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Associate’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with project management and/or event planning, with excellent communication skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through on complex, multi-deadline projects.

Fluency with computers and various applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google office applications, web editing platforms, etc.). Ability to work with data and run reports; familiarity with databases and website management a plus.

Ability to use judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality with sensitive personal information.

Ability to work with speed and accuracy to meet deadlines.

Ability to learn and integrate institutional policy with program needs.

Customer-focused, and customer service oriented.

Ability to occasionally work in the late-afternoon/early-evening/weekend for specific and critical pre-planned program, College, and University events.
