Our department is seeking a motivated, service-oriented, and technically skilled IT professional to join the Infrastructure Division, focusing on modern telephony and communication systems. This entry-level position plays a vital role in supporting the county’s information technology operations by serving as a frontline responder for IT service requests and system support. The selected candidate will provide direct assistance to end users across a wide range of county agencies, with specific emphasis on the support and administration of unified communications (UC) systems, like cisco and day-to-day operations. This person will support fulfillment of tickets and customer needs within the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) platform, ESMP, and the use of basic scripting and configuration techniques to automate workflows and improve service delivery.

Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus two years network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cisco IP phones and VoIP systems, including user provisioning, call routing, and phone configurations.
Support ServiceNow incident and ESMP service request management; assist with basic administration such as workflow updates, ticket tracking, and reporting.
Deliver excellent customer service in responding to end user support request.
Apply basic coding/scripting (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, or SQL) to automate tasks or enhance ServiceNow functionality.
Collaborate with senior analysts and IT teams to address user issues and implement minor system enhancements.
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess the ability to lift boxes weighing up to fifty pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel interview and may include exercise.
