About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Supply Chain Placement team. In this pivotal role, you will help define and develop inventory placement success metrics that are critical for improving customer delivery speed and reducing costs. Your expertise in data analysis will enable us to strategically position the right products in our fulfillment centers, ensuring a wider selection for our customers. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and ownership of metrics that measure inventory placement performance. Utilize modeling techniques and large datasets to recommend improvements to our placement strategy. Advise planning teams and stakeholders on optimal product mixes for Amazon buildings to enhance selection and minimize delivery distances. Innovate and implement new strategies aimed at increasing delivery speed and reducing costs. Develop analytics that visualize opportunities and track progress effectively. Collaborate with worldwide technical teams to introduce new features. About Our Team:

The Supply Chain Placement team is dedicated to delivering orders with maximum speed, quality, cost-efficiency, and minimal environmental impact. We strategically position inventory across fulfillment centers, working closely with various teams, including North American Supply Chain Optimization Technology, Transportation, and Finance. Together, we create analytical models that ensure efficient order fulfillment that meets customer demands. Basic Qualifications: Over 3 years of experience in data analysis and interpretation using platforms such as Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL. Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight. Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and developing ETL pipelines. Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Matlab. Strong SQL skills for data extraction and scripting skills (Python) for data processing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS services such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. Background in data mining and working with large-scale, complex datasets in a business environment. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year to $185,000/year, depending on geographic market and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a total compensation package that includes equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits.
