We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to drive insights and innovative models aimed at optimizing the capacity of our sortable and non-sortable networks. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to significantly enhance our operational capabilities and meet customer demands efficiently. Your Role Will Involve: Understanding the operational dynamics of both sortable (IXD & ARS) and non-sortable systems, from inbound to outbound docks across various building generations. Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions for metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to meet analytical and business needs. Performing deep analysis on key metrics and developing actionable insights that drive improvements in capacity. Building data sets and other products in collaboration with product and program managers to address their specific business questions. Working with Data Engineers and fellow Business Intelligence Engineers to create data pipelines and automate processes using programming languages like Python. Conducting deep dives into business problems, formulating conclusions, and making recommendations for senior leadership. Producing written insights and recommendations to shape effective metric development and reporting. About Our Team: The NACF ACES Capacity team is pivotal in revolutionizing how we forecast and optimize capacity within our fulfillment network. We are the foundation of operational excellence, providing data-driven insights that tackle immediate challenges while preparing for future growth. Our approach combines short-term tactical planning with long-term strategic foresight, securing Amazon's competitive edge. Location and Travel: This role requires an onsite presence five days per week, and travel may be necessary up to 50% based on business needs. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data using Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau, Quicksight, etc. Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Matlab. Strong SQL skills for data extraction from databases and experience with Python for data processing. Advanced Excel skills and expertise in data visualization tools. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS solutions including EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. Background in data mining and ETL in a business setting with complex datasets. Compensation: Our compensation reflects labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600 to $185,000 depending on location, experience, and skills.
