Join our team as a Senior Data Center Project Manager at CBRE! In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire design process from campus planning and basis of design through to the issuance of construction drawings. You will lead matrixed design teams by collaborating with both the client’s internal design teams and external design service partners, ensuring a cohesive plan for project execution while providing supervisory oversight of the construction administration services offered by the external design teams.
What You'll Do:
Organize planning and kickoff workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.
Guide design reviews in collaboration with external partners.
Conduct large-scale workshops when necessary.
Create comprehensive scopes of work for contracts, ensuring buy-in from relevant internal stakeholders.
Issue and manage contracts efficiently.
Define and monitor deliverables from all parties involved.
Track project costs, schedules, progress, and scope meticulously.
Provide health reports on cost, schedule, scope, and overall progress.
Build optimal design teams from internal stakeholders and strategically procure external partners.
Manage changes in project scope and design contracts.
Facilitate critical technical decisions in line with project requirements.
Coordinate design activities effectively with procurement and construction teams.
Ensure timely delivery of engineering information to the appropriate parties in the correct format.
What You'll Need:
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred along with 5-8 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Preferred designations include LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM.
Experience in data center design and/or construction is highly desirable, with experience in similar projects like healthcare facilities, large commercial buildings, laboratories, or manufacturing facilities being a plus.
A minimum of 1 year of design project management experience is required.
Professional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA, or equivalent) is a plus.
A general understanding of leases, contracts, and construction practices, along with the ability to read architectural drawings.
Strong analytical judgment with the ability to consider multiple sources of information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a keen inquisitive mindset.
Advanced mathematical skills with the ability to handle complex calculations.
The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
