Job Summary
This is a senior level position in application/system engineering. Responsibilities include defining analog IC and module products, developing and debugging reference circuits internally and with strategic customers, writing datasheets and application/design notes, and providing application support and technical training. Essential Functions: Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define analog IC products in DC/DC converters, specifically in cloud computing power solutions for CPU, GPU, ASIC, and SOC. Define and design 48V DC/DC module products, including isolated and non-isolated topologies. Work with customer and field application team to provide total computing power solution. Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for Server and Cloud. Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products. Qualifications/ Requirements: 8+ years of hand-on experience in switch mode power supply designs especially in multi-phase core power design or isolated topology. Self-motivated and can-do attitude. Previous work experience in a plus. Fluent communication skills in English. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Prior experience in defining power management IC or power modules are highly preferred. Education: MSEE or higher required Location: San Jose, CA Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons.
